What to expect from the Perpetual Recruitment Process
To attract the best talent for the Perpetual Team, we have designed a robust recruitment process that allows us to find the right people for our business. Selection criteria and progression through the recruitment process is solely at Perpetual's discretion.
The Perpetual recruitment process will involve most of the activities outlined below but may differ slightly based on the role you have applied for. At all stages of the process we are committed to providing you with timely updates. Should you be unsuccessful at any stage we will notify you as soon as possible via email or phone.
Find your next career opportunity with Perpetual by searching positions available. You can make the search easier by adding selection criteria such as keyword, role name and location. Before you click apply, please read through the job description and ensure that you are comfortable with the role function and responsibilities.
You can apply by either selecting the ‘Apply’ button to manually complete your application, or you can apply with LinkedIn, Google or Facebook if you have an existing profile on these sites.

If your application meets the selection criteria for the position you have applied for, our Talent Acquisition team will contact you for an initial phone interview. This is usually the first step towards a face-to-face interview, and will help the team assess your skill set and motivation for applying for the position.
We will assess your skills and experience against a number of required competencies for the position, and will ask you both behavioural and technical/job specific questions. If you are successful following the initial phone interview, you’ll be invited to an interview with the Perpetual hiring manager and other key individuals relevant to the position. The interview will also give you with the chance to ask questions and find out additional information about Perpetual to help you decide whether the position is right for you. The number of interviews required will depend on the role you are applying for.
Following the successful completion of the interview process, we will request you undertake reference checks, from a manager or supervisor from your two most recent employers.
Please note, personal references will not be accepted.
In addition, we will also need to collect Proof of Identity documents (e.g. Passport & Licence). The documents supplied need to be equal or exceed 100 points.
Once your letter of offer is ready, this will be sent to you via DocuSign. You will need to review your letter of offer and accept with the click of a button. You will also receive a link to complete background checks including national criminal record check, qualification and licence checks. This enables us to meet important regulatory and compliance requirements.

The following are the most commonly asked questions we receive from prospective employees when they apply for a role at Perpetual.
Must I be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to apply for a role with Perpetual in Australia?
You must be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, a Permanent Resident or have a valid work visa to be considered for a job with us. If you're a non-citizen on a valid visa with no work restrictions, we can offer a maximum term contract that falls within the validity period of your visa.
All candidates need to submit their application online.
If your application meets the selection criteria for the position you have applied for, our Talent Acquisition team will contact you for an initial phone interview. This is usually the first step towards an interview with the business, and will help the team assess your skills, experience and motivation for applying for the position. Once your application has been reviewed and assessed by our Talent Acquisition you will be notified of an application outcome.

If a job opportunity no longer appears on the website, it means the role has most likely been filled by a successful applicant and the job is now closed. Please set up a job alert for future roles to let you know when new opportunities become available or join our talent community.
We will only accept a CV from a recruitment agent if the agency has been formally briefed by one of our Talent Acquisition Partners. Please note Perpetual does not pay agency fees for candidates that are floated and/or emailed to Perpetual People Leaders directly.
