Aims to provide investors with long term capital growth via an investment in a portfolio of quality Australian microcap companies. Microcap companies are defined as companies with a market capitalisation or free float of less than $300m on acquisition.
We aim to achieve the Fund's investment objective by:
- adopting a 'bottom-up' stock selection approach to investing, where the decision to buy or sell is based on fundamental quality and valuation
- constructing the portfolio within a framework that is benchmark independent in terms of stock and sector weights
- aiming to add value from the portfolio manager's high conviction approach to stock selection.
Derivatives may be used in managing the Fund.

|Effective 1 March 2017 we have updated fees and costs information, and issued a new Product Disclosure Statement (PDS). Due to changes in ASIC Class Order [CO 14/1252], we have updated our disclosure in respect of the estimated management cost of the Pure Series Funds. This amount includes estimated indirect costs which are paid by the Fund, and are not a direct cost to you. It also includes a 4.53% estimated performance fee. The management fee you pay to Perpetual has not changed. A full explanation of fees and costs is set out in the PDS. Jack is the Portfolio Manager for the Perpetual Pure Microcap and Smaller Companies Funds and an Analyst.
Jack joined Perpetual in November 2001 as an Investment Administrator and Equity Dealer. After four years he moved into an Analyst role, focusing on small cap industrial companies. Jack took on portfolio management responsibilities in June 2010.
Prior to joining Perpetual, Jack gained two years industry experience working in London as an Equities Dealer and Investment Administrator at both Salomon Smith Barney and Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Jack has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney.
