Two faces of philanthropy

What drives a person or family to get involved in philanthropy? What difference does it make to their lives as well as the causes and communities they care about?

To find out, we asked one of our philanthropy experts Caitriona Fay – and talked to Perpetual client Natalie Gray, to get their views of the power of giving.

We found out that while giving is always a very personal experience, the payoff for the people or families doing the giving is often very similar – a sense of satisfaction and the knowledge that you can do good even after you’re gone.

Just as importantly, once you become a philanthropist, your sense of involvement with the cause or community you care about is heightened – and as Natalie and Caitriona discuss – often to a surprising level.

Speak with one of our philanthropy specialists to find out how you can make the most of your charitable giving.
