The Trillium Global Sustainable Opportunities Fund is actively managed with a concentrated high-conviction, sustainability-themed strategy that invests in companies positioned to thrive during the transition to a more sustainable economy.
The Fund’s strategy employs holistic, fully integrated fundamental equity analysis that incorporates environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors and emphasises growth companies priced at reasonable valuations. Companies must be able to demonstrate that they are contributing to three core sustainability themes through their core business:
- climate solutions
- economic empowerment
- healthy living.
The Fund’s portfolio has no fossil fuel exposure.

Aims to provide investors with long-term capital growth through investment in global companies driving the transition to a more sustainable economy. Aims to outperform the MSCI World Net Return Index (AUD) (before fees and taxes) over rolling 3-year periods.
Investment Approach
Trillium uses a thematic approach to identify companies that will thrive as we transition to a more sustainable economy. The focus is on three areas: Climate Solutions, Economic Empowerment and Healthy Living and align to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals adopted in 2015. Fundamental, bottom up financial analysis is conducted including a rigorous integrated review of financial and environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors.
