As Chancellor and Principal of the University of Melbourne, Professor Glyn Davis replaced the university’s 96 undergraduate courses with six undergraduate degrees and professional programs.
“If you’re going to make a very big change as a leader, you make it in your first year. That’s a really important part of leading any organisation. Your honeymoon doesn’t last long. I was very clear upfront about what I wanted to do,” says Professor Davis.
In the latest segment of Perpetual’s Performance with Purpose series, The Australian’s Alan Kohler asks Professor Davis about driving substantial change through an organisation employing 9000 people with an annual budget of more than $2 billion.
