Bio

Mark joined Perpetual as Group Executive of PP in November 2012 and was appointed Chief Executive of PP in January 2023 following the acquisition of Pendal Group.

Skills and experience

At Perpetual, he leads the Group’s wealth business, which includes the philanthropic, trustee and high net worth advisory businesses, as well as Fordham, a business specialising in accounting and advisory services to business owners.

He is also the Chair of the Noongar Budja Investment committee and group sponsor of Perpetuals Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan.

Mark has over 25 years’ financial services experience, gained predominantly at BT Financial Group and Pendal Asset management where he led marketing leading businesses focused on Platforms, Asset Management and Insurance.

Kyle joined Perpetual Private in July 2014 and leads the 18 person Investment Research team. In this role, he is responsible for the overall investment solutions of the firm, managing teams of highly experienced investment professionals across capital markets research, asset allocation, manager research, stock analysis and portfolio construction advice, as well as portfolio analytics and investment insights for client portfolios. Prior to this role, he was General Manager - Research & Operations for Perpetual Investments, where he managed key ratings house relationships and maximised rating outcomes across all funds and asset classes.

Malissa has 20 year’s experience in providing financial advice to clients. She started her career in financial planning at National Australian Bank where she provided retail advice to the Bank’s customers. She then joined The Commonwealth Bank in 2003 working primarily in The Commonwealth Private Bank where she specialised in providing holistic and tailored advice to executive and high net worth clients with complex wealth management and financial needs. Malissa was awarded the most outstanding Private Wealth Manager of the Year in 2012 and 2013 for her outstanding service and advice to clients. She was also a finalist at the National Private Banking awards in 2011 for most outstanding financial advisor.

Provides investment research, portfolio construction and bespoke investment advice for Perpetual Private’s clients.

Andrew works closely with advisers by providing specialist investment knowledge on Perpetual’s investment process and strategy implementation, focusing on delivering optimal solutions to our stakeholders and partners. This is further augmented by his provision of transparent and accessible knowledge of financial markets and asset classes both globally and locally.

Having spent 15 years in London, Andrew returned to Melbourne with a wealth of international experience to benefit Perpetual’s clients and partners. Having started his career working on private equity transactions and stock market listings, he then spent time working on equity trading desks, before moving into investment management. In his role as a Portfolio Manager for Barclays Investment Solutions, Andrew managed money across multiple asset-classes on behalf of various client groups, before focusing on the charity and not-for-profit segment. With responsibility for as much as £3bn in assets, he developed a strong reputation for delivering robust investment performance linked to his comprehensive understanding of global investment markets.

Andrew is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Bio

Robert is the Partner of NSW’s High Net Worth division.

Before joining Perpetual in July 2017 he was an Investment Consultant with the Private Investment Consulting ('PIC') team within NAB Asset Management providing investment consulting services private and institutional clients. 

Immediately before joining the PIC team he was Head of Fixed Income and Senior Adviser in the Private Wealth Management division of Wilsons Advisory in Sydney responsible for the investment management of institutional and private client portfolios.  Before that role, Robert was with Nikko AM, responsible for managing Nikko’s relationship with key institutional clients for the fixed income business, as well as developing and implementing tailored fixed income strategies for these clients.

Previously, he was co-founder and executive director of Columbus Capital Ltd (a capital markets origination and funds management firm of ‘RMBS’ assets), and has also worked as a senior investment specialist with AMP Capital Investors Fixed Income and Currency and with Westpac Institutional Bank as an associate director in the debt capital markets division providing coverage of fixed income and credit markets, as well as being a senior analyst in high yield and emerging markets in London with Bankers Trust International PLC and ING Barings respectively.

Stella joined Perpetual in January 2007 and has spent most of her tenure analysing and providing recommendation on stocks to Perpetual Private’s clients. Stella has experience in the following sectors: Consumer Staples, Discretionary, Healthcare, Insurance and A-REITs. Stella has more recently advanced her career in the wealth management industry with a promotion to Portfolio Manager in 2022.

Stella has completed the CFA Program and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Technology Sydney with Finance and Economics majors.

Catherine is the national lead for Perpetual Private's strategic advice capability. She briefs the Perpetual Limited/Perpetual Private executive leadership team plus Perpetual Private advice team members on relevant strategic advice and Government policy matters. She is an experienced presenter, as well as financial writer; contributing regularly to industry and mainstream media on strategic advice topics.

Catherine has significant financial planning industry experience and holds a Bachelor of Economics, a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and a Master of Financial Planning. She is also a Certified Financial Planner, a SMSF Specialist Advisor with the SMSF Association and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA).

Tony is the Associate Partner of VIC’s High Net Worth division.

Tony provides sophisticated financial advice to Perpetual’s private clients. He has extensive experience in investment management, retirement planning, superannuation, taxation, estate planning and recommending appropriate strategic structures.

Tony enjoys working closely with clients to develop highly effective investment strategies and structures which help to ensure that their financial goals are achieved.

Tony has a Diploma in Financial Planning – Financial Planning Association of Australia, 2003. He joined the financial services industry in 1993 and has been with Perpetual since 2002. His previous roles and experience in financial services include Financial Adviser and Client Relationship Manager with AMP and the Commonwealth Bank.

Andrew is the Partner of SA’s Not For Profit division.

With over 32 years experience, Andrew specialises in advice to large complex organisations, family offices, not-for-profit clients and philanthropic trusts. He has a deep understanding of the unique needs and strategic objectives of not-for-profit organisations and helps his clients implement best practice investment policies. Andrew also connects clients to other parts of the Perpetual business, including Philanthropic services.

Prior to joining Perpetual, Andrew held senior adviser roles within commercial and private banking based in Adelaide for the last 9 years. Andrew has also held senior manager roles in institutional banking at JPMorgan Chase, Deutsche Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland in Tokyo, Singapore, London, New York and Sydney over a period of 20 years.

Andrew has a Bachelor of Business (Finance), Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning, is an accredited Self- Managed Super Fund adviser (SMSFA) and speaks several languages.

Roxanne is an experienced and highly qualified wealth management professional having held various leadership and adviser roles within Private Banking and Private Client segments over the past 20 years.

As a Partner within Perpetual Private Clients Roxanne leads teams of Senior Financial Advisers and Associate Advisors across NSW and the ACT - providing exceptional service and holistic advice to retail and wholesale clients.

Roxanne also manages a select number of high net worth client relationships ensuring objectives are consistently met. Roxanne works with clients to bring clarity, direction and discipline to their financial and investment  affairs.

As a leader and financial adviser Roxanne is focussed on developing strong client relationships with a particular interest in Family Wealth taking into account investment strategies and market conditions. 

Roxanne has a Bachelor of Arts (Economics), Master of Financial Planning and a MBA. Roxanne is also a CFP member of the FPA and has completed all FASEA requirements.

Stephen is responsible for Perpetual Private’s direct equity investment and research capability, including stock selection and ongoing management of direct equity investment portfolios for clients (as managed accounts, or on an advisory basis). He provides detailed input on direct equities – company analysis & research, recommendations and portfolio structuring, and leads a team of five investment analysts across most key equity sectors.

Stephen has spent more than twenty years as an equity market specialist. Prior to joining Perpetual, he spent four years as a Senior Investment Analyst at Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC) in the domestic equity funds management team. He was primarily responsible for covering sectors such as Financials, Healthcare, Food & Beverage and Building Materials. Stephen also spent considerable time as a Senior Research Analyst at Macquarie Group, where he specialised in Banks and Diversified Financials.

Stephen’s academic qualifications underpin his extensive experience. He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Macquarie University), is an Associate of FINSIA and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA Institute).

David Blunt

David joined Perpetual Private’s Investment Research team in May 2015. David manages Perpetual Private’s growth alternatives portfolios, incorporating private equity, real estate, infrastructure and hedge funds. Concurrently, he leads the team’s effort in incorporating ESG, Responsible Investments and Impact investments across portfolios. Additionally, David is a non-executive director of the Utilities Trust of Australia (UTA) Trustee Board. David is a member of UTA’s ESG Committee. 

David has over eleven years’ experience as an investment professional operating in a fiduciary environment. Prior to joining Perpetual, David held roles with ANZ and MLC where he was responsible for capital markets research, strategic asset allocation, investment manager selection and portfolio construction. Prior to MLC, David spent time with Liquid Capital Markets, a firm operating in global derivatives markets.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Economics and Politics & International Relations from the University of New South Wales and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from Kaplan Professional. Additionally, David completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Company Directors Course in 2017 and attained his Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation in 2018.

Jane joined Perpetual in 2011 and is a philanthropic leader with significant experience and knowledge of the private wealth and the Australian not-for-profit sector.

Jane leads a national team of philanthropy specialists who work in partnership with philanthropists to help guide them through the process of establishing a charitable Foundation or Endowment, formulate giving strategies and make compliant and vision aligned decisions regarding their annual grants to communities.

Jane also works extensively with not-for-profit organisations across Australia to support them in building their capacity to deliver on their mission and demonstrate the outcomes of their work.

Jane has a strong governance background, having completed a Bachelor of Business and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Tony is the Lead Partner in Perpetual Private’s Western Australian office, overseeing the Western Australian and South Australian advice teams.

With over 23 years in the industry, Tony is experienced in a broad spectrum of advice delivery. Having returned to Perpetual after an 8-year break, he is comfortable across the full service offering and supports a team of financial advisers in delivering exceptional client outcomes.

Tony has an extensive background in financial advice. Prior to returning to Perpetual, Tony owned and operated an award-winning financial advice practice. He has been a shareholder/adviser for a boutique financial planning business and State Manager for a leading stockbroking, financial planning software and investment research provider.

Tony holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Finance, a Diploma of Financial Planning from Deakin University and a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning through FINSIA.
