As the Responsible Entity we offer independent oversight and work with the investment manager and appointed intermediaries to ensure the smooth set-up and running of the fund.
Wholesale Trustee Services
As your wholesale trustee, we’ll be responsible for the compliance and governance of your unregistered wholesale trust – ensuring it operates within the terms of the trust constitution, other governing documents and the law.
We provide wholesale trustee services to a diverse client base , ranging from some of the largest global investors to boutique domestic fund managers. Asset wise, our specialties include property, infrastructure, agricultural assets, private equity and alternatives.
As trustee, Perpetual has also worked with domestic general insurers and global reinsurers in the Australian market to set up one or multiple trusts to hold the collateral required to meet APRA’s capital adequacy requirements.
As custodian, we act as agent for our clients. Our role is to legally hold, safeguard and administer a range of assets including property, mortgages, private equity, infrastructure and debt. Assets are held and managed in accordance with the custody agreement and any regulatory obligations.
As custodian, we’re also obliged to act on all properly authorised instructions, helping you to manage and safeguard your investment portfolio to the highest standards.
The Managed Investment Trust (MIT) withholding tax regime gives foreign investors significant withholding tax benefits if they are a resident of a country with an effective exchange of tax information agreement with Australia.

Richard McCarthy is General Manager, Sales and Product and is responsible for growing Perpetual Corporate Trust’s business through new product initiatives, sales and marketing.
Richard has over 18 years’ experience in providing trustee, custody and administration services to the debt capital markets and funds management industry.
Richard joined Perpetual Corporate Trust in August 2007 and has worked across its trust and fund services businesses.
For the twelve months prior to joining Perpetual in August 2007, Richard was the Head of Relationship Management at BNY Mellon’s Corporate Trust Division in Sydney and was an integral part of the transition of JPMorgan Sydney's corporate trust business to The Bank of New York in 2006.
Prior to this, Richard spent eight years in JPMorgan's (Chemical and Chase Manhattan Bank) Institutional Trust Services business in London before moving to JPMorgan Sydney in August 2003 to integrate the business acquisition of Guardian Trust. Richard was a Responsible Officer and his integration role included Business Development, Relationship Management, Risk, Compliance, Operations and Analytics.
Glen is Head of Sales and Relationship Management at Perpetual Corporate Trust with responsibility for business development for the Managed Funds and Debt Markets sectors covering Australia, Europe and the America's. His strength lies in developing client relationships and business development strategies - skills he has honed over his 20 years in the financial services industry.
Glen has expertise in establishing fund vehicles for local and global fund managers across a broad range of asset classes. Prior to this Glen was based in Singapore for 5 years as Senior Vice President where he was instrumental in growing our Asian trustee business, primarily responsible for assisting our clients list on the Singapore Stock Exchange.
Johnny Francis is a Sales & Relationship Manager for Perpetual Corporate Trust with responsibility for business development, predominantly for the managed fund services.
Johnny has 11 years of corporate experience in financial services and accounting practices. He joined Perpetual in July 2014 to work in the Debt Capital Markets team and then moved to the Responsible Entity team as the dedicated on-boarding manager. Johnny joined the Sales team in March 2017 and has significant experience in our Managed Funds business, including Responsible Entity Services working with fund managers setting up funds in the Australian market.
Johnny holds a degree in Mathematics from Exeter University in the UK and is a Chartered Accountant.
Greg White is Sales and Relationship Manager and is responsible for business development and relationship management primarily within the debt capital markets.
Greg has deep expertise and relationships in this segment having worked with Perpetual Corporate Trust for over 14 years in the Corporate & Structured Finance team, Transaction Management and most recently in the Sales & Product team as Product Manager, overseeing new markets and product development.
Prior to working at Perpetual Greg worked at ANZ Institutional Bank in relationship management and credit analysis, Bendigo Bank and Monte Dei Paschi Di Siena (Italian Merchant Bank).
Greg has over 21 years’ experience in the banking and financial services sector.
A long term resident of Singapore and with experience across a variety of Asian markets, Graham has the responsibility for business development and relationship management throughout Asia. With over 30 years in investment management, he has a deep and broad knowledge of the investment landscape across multiple asset classes. Graham maintains key relationships with a large variety of consultants, advisors and intermediaries which are invaluable to clients in both the establishment and ongoing servicing of their funds.
Graham has recently practised as a private consultant within the Asia Real Estate Fund Management industry. Previously he held senior positions with AMP Capital and Macquarie Bank across Australia, South Korea, Malaysia and Singapore, and has served as an independent director on listed and unlisted property funds which have focussed on cross border investments.Graham is a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and the Australian Property Institute, a personal member of the Singapore Institute of Directors, and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
