Community impact

At Perpetual, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we live and operate. Our efforts are particularly focused on those people and organisations that provide a voice on big social issues including mental health and domestic violence.

Championing Trust showcases our commitment to those who tackle social issues that eat away at trust in society. In 2021, we commenced our support of endurance athlete and women’s rights advocate, Chloe McCardel and preventative mental health and wellbeing non-profit, the LifeChanger Foundation. Both use their platforms to create a dialogue about trust, its fragile state, how to grow it and how to win it back, without judgement.

Chloe McCardell

Chloe McCardel

Chloe, ‘the Queen of the English Channel’, is a world record holding ultra-marathon swimmer and domestic violence survivor. She uses her voice and actions to champion those who are trying re-build their trust in people and society.

Perpetual has committed $80,000 to helping Chloe achieve her world record ambitions and to continuing to bring awareness to her advocacy work for women experiencing domestic violence.

LifeChanger Foundation

LifeChanger’s vision is to build more resilient young people. Founded by ex-AFL coach and player, Scott Watters, it gives young people the tools to be able to trust and believe in themselves as well as others, and in doing so empowers them to live thriving, resilient lives.

Perpetual has committed to donate $150,000 each year to LifeChanger over three years through employee fundraising and company donations. The financial commitment aims to assist the organisation to set up a new mentoring program for schools in NSW having already been established in Victoria, Queensland and South Australia.
