Emilio Gonzalez
Group Executive, Global Equities

Emilio has been Chief Investment Officer since 2001 and is responsible for Perpetual’s investment management team and is Chairman of Perpetual’s Investment Performance Review Group, Perpetual’s Investment Infrastructure Committee, Perpetual James Fielding Investment Committee and a member of the Executive Committee for Perpetual Limited.
Emilio joined Perpetual Investments in July 1990 and prior to his current role, he worked as a Assistant Money Market Dealer (1990), Market Economist (1992), Manager, International and Diversified Funds (1993), Manager, Research and Development (1998) and Head of Research (1999). Emilio has over 20 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual, Emilio worked at Norths Stockbroking and was Chief Dealer – Fixed Interest at Nikko Securities (Australia) Limited.
John Sevior
Head of Equities

John has been Head of Equities since 2002 and he also has portfolio management responsibilities for 100% of the Perpetual Concentrated Equity Fund, 100% of the Australian Share Fund and more recently 100% of the Ethical SRI Fund.
John joined Perpetual Investments in June 1994 and prior to his current role he worked as an Equities Analyst/Assistant Portfolio Manager (1994) and Senior Portfolio Manager (1995). John has over 19 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual worked for five years with John Fairfax Group as an Analyst/Business Columnist and three years with Potter Warburg Securities as an Institutional Equities Dealer and various positions at the Trade Union Training Authority, Liberal Party of Australia and D&D Tolhurst.
Matt Williams
Portfolio Manager

Matt has been Portfolio Manager since 2002 and manages 50% of Perpetual’s Smaller Companies Fund and 50% of Perpetual’s Industrial Share Fund and researches and recommends stocks.
Matt joined Perpetual Investments in August 1993 and prior to his current role he worked as an Equities Dealer (1993) and an Equities Analyst/Deputy Portfolio Manager (1996). Matt has over 17 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual worked as a Broad Broker on the Australian Option Market and as a Cash/Bills Dealer at Lumley Corporation.
Sean Cunningham
Portfolio Manager/Equities Analyst

Sean has been a Portfolio Manager/Equities Analyst since 1999 and manages 50% of Perpetual’s Smaller Companies Fund as well as analyst specific sector responsibilities covering Insurance, Small Industries and Retail.
Sean joined Perpetual Investments in October 1995 and prior to his current role worked as an Equities Dealer (1995) and Equities Analyst (1998). Sean has over 17 years industry experience and prior to Perpetual held positions at Equitilink Australia, Morgan Grenfell Australia, Butterfield Securities and Citibank Global Asset Management (overseas).
John Harbot
Portfolio Manager/Equities Analyst

John commenced at Perpetual Investments in September 2006 as a Portfolio Manager/Equities Analyst in Perpetual's Australian Shares team where he has portfolio management responsibilities for Perpetual's Smaller Companies Fund as well as lead analyst responsibilities for a universe of Australian listed companies.
Prior to joining Perpetual, John worked as an Equities Analyst and Australian Equities Portfolio Manager for Paradice Investment Management, a specialist boutique Australian Share Investment Manager. In his role as Portfolio Manager, John was responsible for the larger positions in the Smaller Companies Fund and was lead Anayst for most of the larger small cap stocks in retail, healthcare, building materials, media and engineering services. He also maintained selective coverage of financial services as well as oil & gas and coal stocks.
John also brings experience gained from stockbroking and corporate management. Before commencing with Paradice Investment Management, John worked as a Smaller Companies Analyst at Austock Brokers and before that Lodge Partners Stockbrokers. His corporate experience spans operations and business roles with Toll Holdings, ICI Explosives and Pacific Dunlop.
John stared his career in the Australian Defence Force, graduating from the Royal Military College Duntroon in 1989. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New South Wales and a Masters of Science from UTS, Sydney. While completing his Graduate Diploma Applied Finance through the Securities Institute of Australia (FINSIA) in 2002, John was awarded the national prize in industrial equity analysis.
Amy Somes

Amy has been an Equities Analyst since January 1993 and is responsible for researching and recommending Consumer Discretionary and Financials sectors.
Amy joined Perpetual Investments in March 1991 and prior to her current role worked as a Senior Administrator of Fund Accounting and Supervisor Retail Sales & Marketing (1991). Amy has over 16 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual held a position as an Auditor at KPMG Peat Marwick.
Charlie Lanchester
Equities Analyst

Charlie has been an Equities Analyst since joining Perpetual in May 1999. He is responsible for researching and recommending Consumer Discretionary, Consumer Staples, Financials, Industrials, Information Technology, Materials and Telecoms sectors.
Charlie has over 14 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual was the Global Communications Analyst at Platinum Asset Management. Charlie has also held the position of Associate in the Institutional Banking Division of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and worked as an Investment Analyst at Schroder Investment Management.
Max Amoedo
Senior Equities Analyst

Max has been a Senior Equities Analyst since joining Perpetual Investments in 1997. He is responsible for researching and recommending stocks, with specific responsibility for stocks in the Utilities, Beverages, Diversified Financials, Retail, Consumer Discretionary and Diversified Industrial industries. In addition, Max acts as the link between the Sydney and Dublin offices ensuring the Australian team has access to research and coverage on global stocks of interest.
Max has over 12 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual was a Financial Analyst for the tax division at Ernst & Young for a year and three years prior to this a management trainee at Burns Philp & Company.
James Bruce
Resources Equity Analyst

James has been a Resources Equity Analyst since joining Perpetual Investments in March 2002. He is responsible for researching and recommending the Energy and Material sectors.
James has over 11 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual held positions at WMC Resources, New Hampton Goldfields and National Mine Management.
Maryanne Drew

Maryanne has been an Equities Analyst since joining Perpetual Investments in February 2003. She is responsible for researching and recommending the Utilities, Agriculture, Retail, Healthcare, Consumer Staples, Regional Banks, Construction and Transport (and related commercial services) sectors.
Maryanne has over 20 years broad (mainly small to medium) business involvement and prior to joining Perpetual, positions held included CEO & CFO, widespread auditing, strategic review and general consulting experience. Previous companies include, Apparel Group, Daniel Chen Group, Young Barnsdall & Joyce and Energy Management P/L.
Jack Collopy

Jack has been an Equities Analyst September 2005. He is responsible for researching and recommending a universe of small cap stocks in the industrials sector.
Jack joined Perpetual Investments in 2001 and prior to his current role worked as an Investment Administrator and Equities Dealer. Jack has over 8 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual he worked for three years in London at Salomon Smith Barney and Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Jason Day

Jason has been Head Equities Dealer since December 2002 and is responsible for carrying out the dealing instructions of the Portfolio Managers and ensures portfolios are compliant within the investment strategies.
Jason joined Perpetual Investments in August 2000 and prior to his current role worked as an Equities dealer. Jason has over 10 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual worked at UBS Warburg.
Steven Yee

Steven has been Equities Dealer since July 2006 and is responsible for equities dealing, dealing reconciliations, compliance reporting and ad hoc duties.
Steven joined Perpetual Investments in April 2003 and prior to his current role worked as a Cash Flow and Liquidity Manager and in Client Administration. Steven has over 7 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual held various positions including a Researcher role at Nestle.
Vasant Khilnani

Vasant oversees the portfolio management and analyst staff directly concerned with quantitative investment strategies. He is responsible for all quantitative equity products including Perpetual’s QI TE2 product, Perpetual’s SharePlus product (which employs quantitative techniques to construct the short portfolios) and Perpetual’s QI Long Short product scheduled to be launched in September 2005.
Vasant joined Perpetual Investments in June 1994 and has worked across equities and tactical asset allocation. Vasant has over 30 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual held positions at YBA Kanoo, Gulf International Bank, Bankers Trust, ANZ McCaughan Securities and Citibank.
Ganesh Suntharam

Ganesh has been a Quantitative Portfolio Manager since joining Perpetual Investments in May 2005. He is responsible for the Quantitative Investments (TE1 & TE2), portfolio construction, quantitative research, infrastructure development and alternate produce development.
Ganesh has over 10 years experience and prior to joining Perpetual held positions at Barra and Thomson Marconi.
Helen Kolupacev

Helen has been a Quantitative Analyst since November 2002. She is responsible for the implementation of trades for the Quantitative portfolios as well as the daily monitoring; risk analysis of all PI domestic & international portfolios, quantitative research and development with regard to equities market including portfolio construction research, risk management, review of external quantitative research/models as well as the undertaking of original research and the building of models.
Helen joined Perpetual Investments in July 2000 and prior to her current role worked as a Senior Business Analyst. Helen has over 20 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual held various positions at National Mutual Life, Commonwealth Bank Financial Services and Zurich.
Eric Demoiseau

Eric has been a Quantitative Analyst since August 2005 and is responsible for systems programming, data management, model testing and quantitative research.
Eric has 15 years industry experience and joined Perpetual Investments in May 1997 and prior to his current role he worked as a Business Analyst (1997-2000) and since 2002 as a Project Manager. Prior to his positions at Perpetual, he worked at Charles Schwab Australia as a Project Manager and held Business Analyst roles at IBM Global Services, Lend Lease and Westpac.
Yen Phan

Yen has been a Quantitative Analyst since November 2005. She is responsible for performance attribution analysis, quantitative research and data management.
Yen joined Perpetual Investments in September 2000 and prior to her current role held various roles within the Research team and Retail Sales team. Yen has over eight years industry experience, and prior to joining Perpetual held positions at Colonial Group Risk and Commonwealth Bank.
Miraj Khan

Miraj has been a Quantitative Analyst since June 2006 and is responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the Quant research database.
Miraj joined Perpetual Investments in April 2004 as part of the Graduate Program and prior to his current role worked as an Analyst/Programmer. Miraj has over two years industry experience, and prior to joining Perpetual worked at Westpac Banking Corporation.
Des Sullivan

Des is joint Chief Investment Officer at PI Investment Management. He was previously a Deputy Chief Investment Officer with Bank of Ireland Asset Management, where he worked since 1994. Prior to joining BIAM, Des worked for Irish Life Assurance Co. as a fund manager, and as Head of Equity Dealing at a major stockbroking company in Ireland.
In his career to date he has managed US and European equity portfolios, as well as domestic and international bond portfolios. At BIAM he was a senior member of the investment strategy group and led the European research team. He is a Certified Accountant, holds a MSc in Investment and Treasury from Dublin City University and is a member of the UK Securities Institute.
John Nolan

John is joint Chief Investment Officer at PI Investment Management. He was previously a Deputy Chief Investment Officer with Bank of Ireland Asset Management (BIAM), where he worked since 1982. During his time at BIAM he was responsible for global equity portfolios and was a senior member of the investment strategy group. John was also responsible for leading BIAM's North American research team.
His previous experience includes Irish Life Assurance Co., where he managed both Irish and U.S. equity portfolios, and ICC Ltd-Focus where he worked as Lending Officer on small- to mid-sized companies. He graduated from University College Dublin with a BA First Class Honors in Politics & Economics, was awarded a scholarship and subsequently graduated M.A. in Economics.
Richard Kelly
Equity Manager – PIIML

Richard is an Equity Manager at PI Investment Management. He previously worked for 19 years with Bank of Ireland Asset Management, where he was made a Director in 1996, and was a member of the investment strategy group. At BIAM he was initially responsible for global fixed income portfolios and foreign currency management, later becoming a senior member of the Pan-European equity team, with a particular focus on UK equities.
Richard began his career in the Central Bank of Ireland, where he was responsible for the management of foreign exchange reserves. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, a Member of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland and a Member of the UK Securities Institute.
John Forde

John is an Equity Manager at PI Investment Management. He was previously a Senior Equity Manager and an Associate Director with Bank of Ireland Asset Management, where he worked since 1994. He was also a member of the investment strategy group at BIAM.
He began his career at Irish Life Assurance Co., where he worked both in equity research and as a fund manager. In his career to date he has managed US, European and Irish equity portfolios. He graduated from University College Cork with a degree in Business and holds a MSc in Investment and Treasury from Dublin City University. He is a member of the CFA Institute.
Sarah Molloy

Sarah is an Equity Manager at PI Investment Management. She previously worked at Bank of Ireland Asset Management from 1996 and was appointed to BIAM's Asset Management team in 1999. On leaving BIAM in January 2005 she was a Senior Equity Manager with particular responsibility for the US equity content of global equity portfolios.
Sarah graduated in 1995 with a B.Comm (International with French) degree from University College Dublin and in 1996 with a Master of Business Studies majoring in banking and finance) degree also from UCD. Sarah is a member of the CFA Institute.
Oliver McClure

Oliver McClure is an Equity Manager at PI Investment Management. He was previously an Equity Research Analyst with KBC Asset Management, where he has worked since 2001. In his career to date he has researched a number of industry groups, including Financials and Telecoms. He is a CFA Charterholder and holds a First Class Honors degree in Business and Accounting from the University of Edinburgh.
John Stokes

John is an equity manager with PI Investment Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Perpetual Limited of Australia. He was previously an investment analyst at IG International Management where he had worked since 2004. From 1999-2004 he worked as a performance and risk analyst with Bank of Ireland Asset Management. He graduated BA in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin, is a CFA charterholder and is Secretary of the Society of Investment Analysts in Ireland.
Robert Hayden

Robert is an equity manager with PI Investment Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Perpetual Limited of Australia. He was previously a senior investment analyst with KBC Asset Management where he had worked since 2000 as a research analyst and portfolio manager. Prior to joining KBC he was an equity analyst with RCB, which managed €1.5bn on behalf of the Church of Ireland. He graduated B.Sc in Business Studies from Trinity College Dublin and is currently undertaking the CFA qualification.
Michael Korber

Michael has been Head of Credit since joining Perpetual Investments in August 2004. He is responsible for the ongoing strategic review and development of process, reviewing the weekly credit process and reviewing the analysis of all new credit securities.
Michael has over 24 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual worked as the first Head of Credit at Macquarie Funds Management, spending six years developing its credit investment processes and building the business from inception to over $7 billion in funds under management. Prior to this, he spent seven years as Divisional Director in Corporate Banking and four years as '2IC' to the Head of Macquarie Bank Credit. Earlier, he had spent five years as a Credit Analyst with Westpac Corporate Banking.
Vivek Prabhu

Vivek has been Portfolio Manager/Credit Analyst since joining Perpetual Investments in August 2004 and is responsible for credit analysis, portfolio construction and trading.
Vivek has over 15 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual worked for eight years at Macquarie Bank as an Analyst, Compliance Manager, Assistant Portfolio Manager (Fixed Interest & Currency) and Credit Analyst. Prior to that he spent 4 years as an Accountant/Auditor at Coopers & Lybrand (PwC).
Greg Stock

Greg has been Portfolio Manager/Credit Analyst since joining Perpetual Investments in August 2004. He is responsible for running the weekly credit process, researching non-structured issues (e.g. corporates, banks, infrastructure) and trades fixed rate securities.
Greg has over 14 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual worked at Macquarie Bank in financial operations, debt markets research and fixed income investment management. Prior to that he worked as an Accountant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Kirsten Hathaway

Kirsten has over 9 years industry experience and has been a member of Perpetual’s Fixed Interest team since 1999 working as a Portfolio Manager and Assistant Portfolio Manager. Kirsten’s responsibilities include structured credit analysis, portfolio construction and trading.
Marion Kraemer

Marion has been Head of Mortgages since August 2004 and is responsible for ensuring that the assets in the various Mortgages Funds are prudently managed by the team and meet the appropriate benchmarks. Marion is also Chairman of the Credit Committee and a member of the Business Management Team.
Marion joined Perpetual Investments in October 1989 as Manager, Fixed Interest and was responsible for Perpetual’s Cash Management Fund, Mortgages Funds and Bond Fund. Marion has over 30 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual, held positions at QBE Insurance for over 8 years as a Management Trainee and then Manager, Money Market and five years at the NSW Building Society Branch as Assistant Manager.
Andrew Polley

Andrew has been Senior Mortgage Manager since February 2005 and is responsible for existing clients, renewals and collections for New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia as well as managing a team of five. Andrew is also a member of the Credit Committee.
Andrew joined Perpetual Investments in November 1994 as Mortgage Manager (including 8 years in the Perth office). Andrew has over 19 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual, held positions at Beneficial Banking Corporation as Settlements and Securities Officer, Chase AMP Bank as Settlements and Securities Officer and Westpac as Customer Service Officer and Senior Trading Bank Examiner.
Melvin Seeto

Melvin has been Senior Mortgage Manager since January 2005 and is responsible for origination in New South Wales and Queensland. Melvin is also a member of the Credit Committee and joined Perpetual Investments in October 2002 as Mortgage Manager
Melvin has over 11 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual, worked at ING Funds Management in various positions including, Mortgage Administrator, Acceptance Manager and Manager, Mortgage Trusts reporting to the Head of Funds Management/Product Management.
John Terlikar

John has been Senior Mortgage Manager (Vic, SA and TAS) since January 2005 and is responsible for both origination, renewals and existing clients. John is also a member of the Credit Committee and joined Perpetual Investments in July 2003 as Mortgage Manager.
John has over 26 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual worked at AXA Investment Management as a Credit Manager for four years and Commonwealth Bank for twenty years in positions including, Retail Banking, Compliance Officer, Lending Manager and Credit Analyst.
Sean Murray

Sean has been Head of Property Securities since joining in January 2003 and is responsible for Perpetual's property securities portfolios.
Sean has over 22 years industry experience in the development and management of retail, commercial, industrial and residential property. Prior to joining Perpetual he worked as a Director and Head of Listed Property Trusts at Deutsche Asset Management. Previously he worked for Paladin Australia Limited as General Manager, Property Securities and prior to that he worked for IPAC Securities Limited as Portfolio Manager of Australian and International Property Securities funds.
Anthony Cay
Portfolio Manager/Analyst

Anthony has been with Perpetual since 1996 (Perpetual Investments since 1998) and has worked as an analyst in Perpetual's Australian shares team for the last 3 years responsible for researching and recommending stocks in the Property Trusts, Health Care, Information Technology, Consumer Discretionary, Industrials and Financials sectors.
Prior to taking on analyst responsibilities he was a quantitative analyst and ran Perpetuals listed property portfolio while it was passively managed. Since 1999 the majority of his stock responsibilities have involved covering the listed property sector, with input from Perpetual's listed property team since the establishment of Perpetual James Fielding in October 2002.
Roger Lloyd
Head of Infrastructure

Roger joined Perpetual Investments in March 2006 bringing 12 years investment banking experience with Macquarie Bank and previously Bankers Trust. His responsibilities include identifying and sourcing projects for investment using the breadth of relationships in the sector.
Roger was previously in the project finance division of Macquarie's Investment Banking Group, where he focused on Public Private Partnerships working with both Government and private sector clients. In this role, Roger was involved in origination of transactions, consortium formation, structuring and arranging debt and equity across a broad range of infrastructure projects. He also played an important role in the Government advisory business of the Bank and has an intimate knowledge of Government requirements in privately financed projects.
Roger's prior experience includes 6 years in insolvency and reconstruction, having worked with leading practitioners Ferrior Hodgson and previoulsy Price Waterhouse.
Roger is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business from Ku-ring-gai College (now UTS).
Sandra Lee
Assistant Portfolio Manager, Infrastructure

Sandra has been Assistant Portfolio Manager, Infrastructure since joining Perpetual Investments in February 2003. She is responsible portfolio research and due diligence, business compliance, product development and administration.
Sandra has over 10 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual worked as a Key Manager to National Asset Management’s infrastructure and development capital portfolios. Prior to that, her experience includes over six years within the National Australia Bank Group, involving finance and operation roles.
Sandra’s infrastructure asset experience includes Northern Territory Airports, Hancock Victorian Plantations and Adelaide to Darwin Railway Project.
Robert Forte
Portfolio Manager, Infrastructure

Robert has been Portfolio Manager, Infrastructure since joining Perpetual Investments in February 2003. He is responsible for portfolio construction and acquisition activities within Perpetual’s infrastructure business, including its valuation research, analysis and modelling.
Robert has over 15 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual worked for National Asset Management’s unlisted equity portfolio, where he conducted strategic portfolio analysis, acquisition, due diligence and a variety of quantitative and asset management services for client investors. Prior to that, his experience includes over three years with one of Australia’s largest infrastructure investors.
Robert’s infrastructure asset experience includes Northern Territory Airports, Hancock Victorian Plantations, Adelaide to Darwin Railway Project, Southern Hydro, Adelaide Airport and Coolangatta Airport.
Karen Fox
Investment Analyst - Infrastructure

Karen joined Perpetual Investments in February 2006, with over 8 years professional experience in investment banking and credit risk management. Her responsibilities within Perpetual's infrastructure team is to assess acquisition opportunities including investment analysis and modelling, due diligence and contract negotiations.
Karen was previously retained by AXA Asia Pacific / Ipac Securities in their business development team to manage bolt-on acquisitions in the financial services sector. Prior to this, Karen spent five years as a corporate adviser within Citigroup Global Markets in their mergers and acquisition group and two years as a credit risk analyst at the New Zealand Treasury.
At Citigroup, her role included all aspects of buying and selling listed and unlisted companies (typically valued at $100 million or more) across various industries in Australia and New Zealand. Particular responsibilities included building valuation and merger models, co-ordinating due diligence, seeking underwriting approval, negotiating sale and purchase contracts and managing Board approvals.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Science with combined honours (1st class) in Statistics and Finance from Otago University, New Zealand.

Richard Brandweiner

Richard has been General Manager, Investments since March 2002. He is responsible for the management of Perpetual’s range of diversified funds including tactical asset allocation. He is a member of the Perpetual Investment Performance Review Group and sits on the Perpetual Credit Committee.
Richard joined Perpetual Investments in January 2001 and prior to his current role worked as Research Manager. Richard has over 9 years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual held various positions in the investment manager research at Assirt Research and Advance Asset Management.
Daniel Campbell
Investment Analyst

Daniel has been Investment Analyst since October 2005. He is responsbile for the analysis of performance and risk on equity portfolios and investment markets, undertaking management reporting for the CIO office, assisting in implementation and enhancement of investment process and implementation of tactical asset allocation model.
Daniel joined Perpetual Investments in May 2000 and prior to his current role worked as a Business Analyst on front office systems and projects. Daniel has over eight years industry experience and prior to joining Perpetual, held a position at Rothschild Asset Management Management (London) as a Business Analyst for Fixed Interest, Currency and Global Risk management projects.
