Prescribed Private Funds
A Prescribed Private Fund (PPF) is a type of charitable trust established as an individual, group, family or organisation.
It allows you to choose how your gift is to be used by defining the purpose and beneficiaries of the trust – giving you the greatest level of control over the use of the funds you donate.
As trustee of many PPFs, including one of the first established in Australia, we have the knowledge, experience and expertise to help you establish and manage a PPF. Importantly, we can take care of the administration and compliance, deal with complex tax and legal issues, and provide advice on and manage the distribution of funds. We ensure your generosity is maximised for generations to follow.
We can take care of the entire process or simply provide help where you need it – it’s your choice.
To maximise the benefit to your chosen cause during your lifetime, a PPF is generally more suitable when established with an initial tax-deductible contribution of $500,000 or more and when ongoing donations are made. See our information brochure for more details.

Professional management – Perpetual can serve as the trustee, professionally managing the investments and distributions so that your gift is maximised in perpetuity and keeps on giving and giving.
