Announcement - Perpetual Investments Funds Under Management

Perpetual Investments advises that its funds under management as at 30 June 2003 were $17.4 billion. This compares with the figure at 31 May 2003 of $17.2 billion.
Going forward, in line with industry practice, Perpetual Investments will provide quarterly rather than monthly funds under management notifications to the ASX.
This change is based on our view that quarterly FUM movements are the more appropriate basis for assessing the group's performance. Consistent with our ongoing continuous disclosure obligations, however, any material FUM movements will be disclosed as required.
Funds under management figures will continue to be posted on a monthly basis on the Perpetual Investments website. This site can be accessed at: http://www.perpetualinvestments.com.au/
