Markets react to headwinds

'Houston, do we have a problem?' After reaching 18 month highs in mid-April, global sharemarkets have hit several major headwinds which have driven all international sharemarkets lower. Matthew Sherwood, Perpetual’s Head of Investment Market Research examines these issues and concludes that markets will have to factor in slowing in Chinese growth and sustained elevated sovereign debt stress in the Northern Hemisphere into their market outlook.
