The Ramaciotti Foundation – Major Initiative for Biomedical Research in NSW

Expressions of interest for $1 million grant

The Ramaciotti Foundation will be making a $1 million grant in November 2009 for a single major initiative in biomedical research in NSW.

As trustee of the Foundation, Perpetual is calling for expressions of interest from groups or individuals undertaking biomedical research within universities, public hospitals, medical research institutes and similar institutes in New South Wales.

If you are interested in applying for the $1 million grant, please send a one page outline of your proposal by 5pm (Sydney time) Friday 24 April 2009 to:

Alternatively, email your proposal to philanthropy@perpetual.com.au.

Your proposal should include, but is not limited to, an application for funds to provide for senior staff, equipment, major infrastructure improvements or new laboratories that would greatly assist an existing or new project.

Short listed submissions

All submissions will be assessed and short listed by the Scientific Advisory Committee. Short listed applicants will be invited to submit a more detailed proposal and may also be asked to attend an interview in Sydney in July 2009.
All applicants will be notified in July 2009 of the outcome of their submission.
